Voices
These disintegrating homes are like memories... partially intact but not quite whole or complete. The objects are recognizable, but lacking the fine details. While I am discovering the voices of those who have gone before me, I find my own voice, as well.
Process Description
All images are captured onto black and white film using a large format (4x5) camera. I enlarge the negatives to their image size (11”x14”) using lithographic film. The Van Dyke Brown chemistry is mixed by me for my own use in creating the final prints. All images are exposed in natural sunlight and printed on rice paper. Final print size is 16”x20”.
